I am thinking about making a series of videos about survial and my spiritual path, with kid friendly sections in it. Not sure if I would post it on youtube, or just keep it on here, and I need to talk with my sister before comiiting to anything diffinate. The idea came from our trip to Des Moines on Saturday, when we went to build-a-bear and made twin leopards. I found a cute outfit that was a pair of Khaki pants and a vest, with a fishing pole, that I thought would be perfect for a survivalist out fit, since the pockets actually open. I will probably make a small bag that matches the out fit. So we will see what happens. If you have ideas for shows, feel free to leave a message

So life threw a curve ball our way on Friday. We have been getting bug bites all over since the summer, which we thought were flea bites, since the cats had fleas then. But even after bathing the cats multiple times, and checking them over and over, we were still being eaten alive. We found a spray in the store on Thursday that was supposed to work on fleas, dust mites, and bed bugs. So I had Dale strip the bed on Friday, and he started spraying. Thats when we found the nests of bed bugs under the lip of the pillow top on the bed. The spray was killing the bugs, but there were so many that even after vacumming the bed once dry and spraying again, more bugs kept appearing, trying to get away from the spray.
So we got rid of the mattress and box spring. We are fairly certain that the bugs were in the house when we moved in, since we were using the same bed for 5 years before and never had any issues before we moved. So we are now sleeping on the floor in a different part of the room. Since we are stuck in our rental for another year, we don't want to have to buy another mattress just to have to get rid of it in a year to avoid the possiblity of bringing the bugs with us. We went back to the store and bought 2 foam pads to give us a bit more comfort while sleeping, and it helps a lot, so we are hoping it will be enough to get us through until we get a house of our own. Adaptibity is key! Ok, sooo in case you couldn't tell, the whole "daily update and blog entries" thing, yeah, didn't appen. And Iam sorry. I am a very bad procrastinator. Even with doing things I like to do. So I am going to try and at least do something every week , so don't hate me please? Maybe easing myself into the swing of things will help me to stick with it. Wish me luck!
